Parking at Almaty Airport (ALA)

ALA has paid parking by the terminals, split the usual way: short-stay closer to the doors, long-stay further out. How it works

The zones follow the standard airport pattern: a short-stay area near the terminal fronts for pick-ups and drop-offs, and cheaper long-stay parking further from the doors.
Payment is settled when you leave, not when you arrive — follow the signage to the payment machines before returning to the barrier.
Expect the forecourt and short-stay area to be busiest in the small hours: a large share of ALA's international flights arrive and depart between midnight and 05:00, so night here is peak time, not quiet time.

Meeting a night arrival, use the short-stay zone rather than waiting at the kerb — the forecourt is at its busiest exactly when most international flights land.
Leaving a car for a trip? Compare the long-stay total against a round trip with the fixed-fare desk or a pre-booked transfer (4,000–6,000 KZT each way to the centre) before deciding to drive.
